Eleven U.S. state polling stations closed Tuesday and voters across the country are voting in mid-term elections to determine whether President Trump's Republican Party can maintain control of Congress.
Initial voting results in the key states of the U.S. Senate election, Indiana, and the key states of the House of Representatives, Kentucky, have begun to emerge, but the final winner may take several hours to determine.
News networks expect Vermont Democratic Senator Sanders and Virginia Senator Kane to win easily.
In key Indiana Senate elections, Republican Mike Braun initially led Democratic opponent Joe Donnelly, but counted only 9% of the votes, and the two are still close.
Senate elections in Florida, Ohio and West Virginia are also very tight, and the highly watched Ohio and Georgia governor elections are also fiercely competitive.
There will be another 18 states to close the vote at 8 p.m. Eastern time (0100 GMT). The overall vote will only be clearer in a few hours.
