China's Commerce Department on Tuesday urged the United States to stop "wrongdoing" after the U.S. President Trump's government took action to cut ties between a Chinese state-owned background chip manufacturer and U.S. suppliers.
China's Ministry of Commerce said that China opposes the U.S. to generalize the concept of national security, abuse export control measures, unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States and interference in normal international trade and cooperation between enterprises.
The U.S. Department of Commerce said Jinhua, Fujian Province, had been included in the list of export control entities and that it was not allowed to purchase spare parts, software and technical products from U.S. enterprises.
