French Renault and China brilliance joint venture

Renault (RENA. PA) and its Chinese partner, Morning Automobile Group (1114. HK), plan to launch three electric vans in two years, hoping to take advantage of the rapid development of China's commercial vehicle market and restrictions on access to fuel vehicles in urban centers.
Renault's joint venture with Bright Morning, Renault Golden Cup Automobile Co., Ltd., announced Tuesday that it will launch seven light commercial vehicles, including the three electric vehicles. The joint venture was established in December last year.
Two electric vehicles will be commercial vehicles and passenger cars of brilliance's Gold Cup cars respectively. Another battery powered Renault car will be available in 2020.
"Renault has expertise in electric technology that allows us to achieve zero emissions in the last mile of delivery," Ashwani Gupta, head of commercial vehicle operations at Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, told reporters.
Gupta said Renault expects commercial vehicle sales growth to remain strong, with sales expected to grow 11% to 3.2 million this year and further increase of 8-9% in 2019.
