What can I do if my puller cannot withdraw the bearing?

Common practice recommended by SKF:

Select the next bigger puller size*.
Try to grip on the ring with the tight fit on the application. For bearings this is usually the inner ring.
The tri-sectional pulling plate TMMS is especially designed to be used in combination with any three armed puller to fit behind the ring mounted on a shaft.
Use anti-fretting paste LGAF 3E during mounting.
Use a penetrating oil between the bearing and fitted part.
Common practice not recommended by SKF:

The use of a longer wrench and/or extension pipe.
Heating the component while pulling.
Hitting the component with a hammer.
Hitting the spindle with a hammer.
Welding attachment points on the ring that has the tight fit.
The use of blowtorch to cut the component.
* In general when pulling forces exceed 50 tonnes, other methods, such as the oil injection method, should be considered.
