Wealthy Greeks set to pay for police protection


Greeks income more than 100,000 euros ($ 132,500) per year will have to pay for their own potential terrorist attacks and organized crime under police protection, the new cost-cutting plan.
Ministry of Public Security said on Tuesday that wealthy citizens will have to pay 2,000 euros ($ 2,650) per month for each person using the patrol car as a bodyguard and costs 50 euros per day.
Ongoing attacks left and anarchist militant organizations have stretched police budgets, along with repeated in the crisis-hit countries, government spending cuts.
The new salary protection plan still needs approval from the Ministry of Finance, will not include elected officials or public sector executives.
Greek bailout are suffering through the sixth year of economic recession, many years of rescue loans austerity measures required by the person worse.
