U.S. President Trump told reporters at the White House Monday that the government plans to pass a resolution calling for a 10 percent tax cut for middle-income people.
Trump said on Saturday that the government was working on a tax cut that would be introduced sometime shortly before the early November congressional elections, and that Congress was not in session despite the fact that lawmakers were campaigning outside the country.
It is not clear what he meant by passing a resolution.
