After 10 years of unremitting efforts, Baota Industry has developed axle box bearings, which have passed the "Urban Rail B" type jointly organized by the Technical Equipment Specialized Committee of China Urban Rail Transit Association and China Bearing Industry Association through bearing life bench test, passenger carrying test on the main axle box bearings of the entire train of Beijing Metro Line 8 and Line 10. The main performance of axle box bearing has reached the level of foreign similar products, and it is recommended to be popularized and applied. Beijing Metro takes the lead in the domestic application, and the 300 bearings on line 10 will be delivered.
At the same time, Baota Industry has carried out a variety of axle box bearings maintenance research, for users to repair nearly 3000 sets of axle box bearings, has formed a relatively complete maintenance procedures and corresponding standards.
Baota Industry and Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ningxia Baota Petrochemical Industry Development Co., Ltd. jointly established "High Performance Bearing Reinforcement and Lubrication Material Joint Research and Development Center" to carry out research on grease suitable for axle box bearings of Metro vehicles. After a large number of bench tests, L209 grease successfully developed has passed the middle stage. According to the appraisal by the State Key Laboratory of Solid Lubrication of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the main line running test has been carried out by installing two car bearings on Beijing Metro Line 10. Up to now, it has run 200,000 km safely, and the temperature rise is obviously lower than that of domestic grease.
