US stocks are mixed with trade worries and pressure on technology stocks.

Stocks in the U.S. closed mixed on Thursday, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq falling as the U.S. may soon impose more tariffs on Chinese goods, technology stocks fell as chipmakers warned and investors feared tighter regulation of social media companies.
The public consultation period on a $200 billion tariff plan for Chinese goods will end at 0400 GMT on Friday, and the tariff action is likely to take effect soon. China warns that if Washington takes any new tariff actions, China will retaliate.
The United States and Canada continue to push forward the negotiations on the North American free trade agreement with a more active tone.
The gloomy trade outlook was reflected in Thursday's mixed trading performance in the U.S. stock market, with investors saying the S&P 500 and Nasdaq fell and the Dow rose slightly.
