The United States and India stopped importing Iran petroleum.
A top U.S. State Department official told reporters Thursday that the United States and India had had a "very detailed dialogue" on Washington's demand that India stop importing oil from Iran altogether.
"We are asking all partners, not just India, to reduce oil imports from Iran to zero, so I believe this will be part of our dialogue with India," the official said before a high-level dialogue between India and the U.S. foreign and defense chiefs.
"The United States and India have had a very detailed dialogue on technical issues related to cutting imports to zero, and these conversations will continue."
